Project 5 Task 1

The benefits of blogging for students are multiple. I believe given the opportunity to share their writing in an authentic manner is key to developing their writer's voice. Blogs are relatively easy to use and allow students as young as first grade to be heard. Blogs by their very nature are perfect for helping students voice their opinions in a place that is safe and accessible. Practice makes perfect and like anything you want to get better at the more you do it the better you will become. Blogs are no exception. In today's world students seek meaningful ways to stay engaged with their classes and blogs allow this engagement - not just with their own writing but also with their classmate's writing as well.
